Are you heading to Nashville and wondering where you should stay? Finding a hotel can be overwhelming but I have the perfect boutique hotel for you. Located in East Nashville is a former church turned boutique hotel called The Russell. The Russell has been named the most unique boutique hotel in Nashville and is nestled away in one of Nashville's coolest neighborhoods.
East Nashville is quickly becoming the most desired areas to live and play. It's quirky vibe with a buzzing nightlife and food scene is desirable for both locals and tourists alike. But East Nashville also makes the perfect location for a boutique hotel like The Russell.

The Russell is housed in a former 118-year-old church that was built in 1904. Many of the original features have been integrated into the design of this unique hotel. Some of these features include the stained glass windows, old brick walls and even the pews have been turned into headboards. As you can imagine, these unique features only add to a guest's experience and the ambience of this hotel.
The Russell consists of 23 unique rooms that have been curated by one of Nashville's most well-known designers to give each room character that is unmatched anywhere in town. In fact, no two rooms are the same! Each room pays homage to the buildings history with incorporating a modern and contemporary twist. The Russell has suites, classic rooms and skylight rooms. Each one of these rooms are vibrantly decorated with splashes of color throughout. To see what each room is decorated like click here!
The unique, vibrant vibes do not stop with the rooms at The Russell. The Russell carried all of these fun and vibrant elements to its common spaces as well. When you first enter The Russell, you are greeted with cathedral ceilings and the most beautiful stained glass I have ever seen. The common area offers quirky seating areas, a coffee bar, a large table to work, luggage lockers for storage, a photo booth and even a podcast studio that is free to use!
As you can tell, The Russell is not like any other hotel. This also means check in/out is also not like any other typical hotel. Day of check in you will receive an email with a unique code that will give you access to the building and your room. Keep in mind that there will be no employees on-site. If you need to get in contact with someone, The Russell is just a phone call, text or email away if you are to need anything during your stay.
But do you want to hear the best part about The Russell? At The Russell, their slogan is Stay Here, Change Lives and they mean it! Every stay helps someone who is experiencing homelessness in Nashville with their Rooms for Room program.
At The Russell, they have a slogan that says Stay Here, Change Lives. That's right, you can feel good knowing that your stay at The Russell is helping locals in Nashville who are experiencing homelessness. By booking a stay at The Russell a generous percentage of your nightly rate is given to local nonprofits that help to provide the local homeless with a place to stay, food and basic necessities.
The Russell has been giving back since 2016 and has since provided over 16,000 beds and meals. According to The Russell, an average stay provides 16 beds and warm meals at local homeless shelters.
